31156 nice loco along with its brothers and sisters only a hand full left now in preservation and a few working for network rail on there test trains and D.C.R devon and cornwall railways have about 3 may they R.I.P.
I dont know where this section of track is, but You can just make out the westwood power stations chimneys through the mist.
I'd say they're towards the north end of Ince Moss Sidings, near the Liverpool line junction. West Coast Main Line is to the right of the picture and the bridge in the distance is Cemetery Road.
garry this bit of track is the old sidings the bridge in the background is cemetery rd bridge the two tracks nearest are the up and down st helens lines
Remember having to go to the Eastern region, in the 70's to see these. We knew them as Brush type 2's. Am I right?
