The end is near: A 92'er, and there weren't many of them left by now, ready to grind its way northwards. We often mistook them for 'Brits' on first sighting, but the ten driving wheels gave them away. By mid 1967 I'd literally given up the ghost and was spending my time watching my beloved Wolverhampton Wanderers at most home games. Spotting had become secondary as the steam loco slowly vanished from the railways of Britain. A fine, but sad photograph.
