I've caught that bus many times in the early 60s doing some courting in Top Lock.

Before the bus stop outside the Tech it was further up Library St I think it was a shoe shop a newsagent & car showroom where the bus stop was & a bit lower down from there was the Hindley bus stop .

Kathy, when the New Springs stop was further up Library St as you say, it was outside an Insurance Company Office (Prudential, I think} and H.H.Timberlake's new car showroom/
