i remember the old station building with the white windows in 1987 but not the other buildings either side

i remember it well . just to the right of the britannia pub you can just see the tobaconists called potters.none of them are left anymore.

Hi Ron - thanks for sharing this photo - I, too, remember the station from my days of visiting the area. I believe my grandparents house on Whitledge Green is not far from the station.

Margaret the buildings have long gone but the station is still open pay on the train now

I used to wait hare to catch a train to Liverpool for orthodontic work in the late 1950's. The Brittania Inn was a very big buiding, very busy if I remember. I was born in Billinge in 1951 and lived in Bryn (304 Wigan Road) till we moved to Goose Green in about 1963.

I remember the old station buildings in the 1940s,I too lived in Bryn (156 Wigan Rd) now live in Staffordshire
