Wigan Album

Gerard or Gerald Lanyon on the left..his parents used to live next door to mine..and we still see him often.

He went to work with WCT after Water Heyes closed down I think. Where he worked with my father, Maureen, please pass on my regards.

Forgot to mention, Wigan World Album -Work- Water Heyes of Wigan, Gerry's in the picture there as well. I think my father took the picture.

Roy, I forgot to say, I do remember you made comments of Photos of Dad that I had put on the album a couple of years ago.. You said you played cards and dominoes with Dad and cadged drinks off of him... just to jog your memory....

Gerry and Roy remember them very well from my days walking the beat in in Wigan and the cockroaches in the canteen at the top of the wiend had many a brew in there when I was on Market Place Beat. John Briscoe do you remember the saturday nights out in Blackpool and Yates's wine lodge. Just to let you know that I'm still alive and kicking and for my sins living in East Yorkshire.

sad to hear gerry passed away 21 july 2021 aged 79 he was a good lad and will be missed rip gerry
