My Great Grandfather was born in 1850, and also going by the slightly mirror effect of the photo itself,I would hazzard a guess that it was taken around 1890-1900's.
Wouldn't they have been amazed to know that other generations of Wiganers could see this photo all theses years on?! Thankyou for posting this.

None of these men were J Blackburne, he was my grandfather and was the photographer. He also lived in Scot Lane, not sure of the number, he was born in 1888 so photo must be later
