We went on a trip from school to visit Gullicks in 1968 the type of trip you did in the forth year to get a feel for the job you'd like to do.part of the visit included the site of bulldog tools and the other part we accessed down ince green lane we were transported in a mini bus by a chap you chaps named long arm short arm.. We were taken up some wooden steps at the back of bulldog offices on Darlington st to have a couple of pies for dinner at a cost of four pence each. I remember you chaps had an area where pictures of poor young ladies were stuck on a wall..you could tell the young ladies were poor because they could not afford to buy or wear any clothes... This area was named the Tate Gallery but whoever wrote the word Tate could not spell because the had put a w in it..... We were only fifteen and thought this area the best bit of the whole trip...
