What route would it have taken, from here, to Manchester?
Another one for Cullie!
"GGGGRRRRRRRRRRRR" and i mean GGGGGRRRRRRRRRRR a stunning beast from hell and what makes it worst is the fact that another beast from hell is watching over it as it go'es by smell the clag here the thrash . i'd like bet it woke some folk up going via ince n hindley thrashing and growling all the way to crow nest box mega beast 40012 long may she R.I.P.
40012 is preserved at the Midland Railway Centre Butterley.
How could this possibly go by Ince and Hindley? It is going north...It would have had to reverse at Wallgate, surely?
that is a nice looking train, are they called deltics?
come on cullie explain;
first things first JARVO this is by know way a deltic. dont get me wrong deltics are good they have a larger nose and they are much chunkier looking . dont get me wrong they do pack some awesome heat in there engines but they dont growl like a beast from hell and they are as rare has hens teeth on the mainline back in the 1980's they spent most of there time working kingscross to edinburgh on the eastcoast mainline. so the only time you would of seen a deltic on the west coast mainline was on a railtour .SECOND has for going via ince n hindley they would of run into platform 1 at wigan uncoupled then ran round then it would of crossed over onto the ince lines at wigan south then upto hindley very easy to do cause i use to go out sundays class 40 bashing up to preston via lostock jct with a dead eletric in tow happy days ggggrrrrrrrr.
Cullie: Read my post. Did I say it was a Deltic? And, like I said, the loco would have to reverse, and run round...By the way, your grammar and spelling are appalling...Don't you KNOW that? Lol.
