Bill Ashurst lived in Hr Ince and went to Rose Bridge Boys school. After he retired from rugby, he was at one time landlord of the Anderton Arms on Ince Green Lane...not too sure where he is now!

Bill still lives in Ince and still involved with rugby. coaching the juniors at St Pats. He was a great rugby player and all round sportsman.

Yes a big player was Bill, and a nice guy...until he put that Wigan shirt on.
