With a dusting of snow on the ground Class 40 No 40150 stands in the shed yard at Springs Branch on cold January night in 1985.

Spook, I attended Thomas Linacre which later became Wigan Grammar School. When I left, I attended Wigan Tech on day release around that time - so yes.

such happy time's it were sneaking round the branch on cold winter nights. it brings a tear to the eye and a lump in my throat just looking at this picture ...... enough sentimental rubbish "WHAT A MEGA MEGA BEAST FROM HELL THIS CLASS 40 IS 40150 GGGRRRRRRR AND I MEAN GGGGGGRRRRRRRRRR YOU CAN SMELL THE DIESEL FUMES FROM HERE IN SCHOLES AND THAT WHISTLING COULD BE HEARD FOR MILES ON A QUIET FROSTY NIGHT GGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRR KEEP THEM COMING MICK LANGTON " YOU MUST HAVE A PICCY OF 40194 PUT THAT ON HERE MICK THATS IT GAME OVER IM IN HEAVEN GGGGRRRRRRRRRR.
