WOW! How times change. For the better, I wonder?

it's hard to believe our per- way yard is now in this goods yard.

Thanks Peter the last couple of evenings have been spent working on this particular area of my model railway up to the back of the Victoria Hotel and Poole's. Does anybody know anything about that morass of buildings, particularly the 'factory' chimney?

The street in between the pub and the station, halfway down on the left was a large opening with gates, I remember looking into the yard as I went past on my way to and from the box, there were some long buildings there and near the chimney there was a door, could have been the boiler house, I never noticed any smoke from the chimney top, maybe they were on gas or coke.
