Sad to see the depot being demolished.
I remember one of the men cant remember his name now, who used to stand in that basin every friday to have a good wash. I was an apprentice between 1954/61

I think the guy you are thinking of was Fitter Jack Smith he used to wash before going straight to the pub in town only going home at closing time!!
It's a long time since we overhauled the engine on your Vauxhall 10!!!!!
