The first front page of the new edition of the Wigan Observer which has been reduced to eight columns, it now carries news on the front page and a new masthead has been introduced. Colour pictures to follow.
Fascinating to see this first edition of the "new Observer" with news and pictures on the front. Part of the headline of my story on a woman who objected to her name going onto a debtors list and posted on Hindley Co-op window caused quite a stir. Long ago but happy days as we took the Observer into the new days.
