If I remember correctly this class of bus had a welled corrider running along the upstair section of the bus,on the offside. The seats were bench seats, on the left of you. Looking closely at the upper deck, are those the chrome metal balls, situated at the top end of the seats, as mentioned in another picture of a " Wigan Corporation bus" I remember these buses on a route " Wigan to Walmesley Arms," during the 40s. Turning right into St Clement's Street, Then into Heyward Street, then down Taylor's Lane, to pick up passeners opposite the Walmesley Arms, to travel back to Wigan. Does this still happen?.

A correction to the above. The street is Hey Street, and not Heyward Sreet
