On the left can be seen the only Wigan bus not to have carried a Wigan registration number, No.12 HO 6387 was a Thornycroft demonstrator

Another class photo Ron. The building in the right foreground, where Lloyds bank is now. It looks like a pub. If so, what was the name of it?

I think it was the WHITE LION. The White Lion sign from the pub front is now on the Barclays Bank building. There was another pub the 'King of Prussia'

Ron, where was The King of Prussia pub? I know there is a sign saying King of Prussia Yard in a gap before the chip shop on the left hand side of Hallgate as you go down from Market St.

There are three pubs in that view. As Ron says, one is the White Lion (extreme right), then Bull's Head, then the Black Horse, whose pitched roof can be seen directly above the bus. One of the buildings still exists - the one which housed the Black Horse. It's next to the alley that leads to the parish church.

The tall building at the back looks to be to far forward to be the Parish Church.Am I wrong?
