The first Leyland Titan TD1 buses for Wigan Corporation Tramways were built in October 1929. Here is a picture of No.2 EK 7260 seen before delivery.

I can remember this model still being in service with Wigan Corporation well into the late forties. No doubt this was because of the difficulty in obtaining replacement buses during and immediately after World War 2.
