Re the above, the text is as follows.
Celebrating their Golden anniversary, James and Doris Hargreaves of Conniston Ave Orrell.
Married on May 13th 1925 at St Thomas' church Wigan.
They have a daughter and 2 grandchildren.
For many years Mr Hargreaves was the inspector in charge of the traffic department of Wigan Borough Police Force, retiring in 1954.
Since his retirement he worked in the wigan county court as a court bailiff.
