I went for an interview at Tupperware in 1972. After the formalities, a lady took me aroud the shop floor, we stopped in front of a large machine making spatulas. the two giant plates of the press opened and there were around 8 spatulas forming a circle, but all joined in the middle. she took from her pocket a nail clipper, the proceeded to seperate each one by clipping them from the main circle, any rough bits were soon despatched to the recycling bin with the aid of the nail clippers.. then she took one of the spatulas and slapped my face with it.............
"Hot int it" she said.. I left the factory with a spatula shaped tattoo on my face. it was still there when I got home, my mam thought I had a rash !! I was offered a job a few days later needless to say I did not go back there..
