A Black 5 double heads a rebuilt Royal Scot as they pass under Taylors lane overbridge on the Down Goods line approaching Springs Branch No. 1. Just visible behind the Black 5 is the house which was the guards booking-on point. Dated 1962 unknown photographer.

Dave,It's Cemetery Road bridge, the building in the background is the Old Hall pub, Just to let you know quite a few of these were part of my collection stolen many years ago,

I know this comment is not about the photo, but could someone tell me the Whelley Loop, I feel that I should know about it but cannot recollect the wherabouts of the lie. Any old maps showinh this/

Ken R. - The Whelley Loop Line brached of at Bamfurlong Junction, passed under the old North Western to Manchester Exchange Line at Platt Bridge, then over Amberswood on through Haigh Plantation to meet the main line at Standish Junction. Hope this helps!
