Moving a class 47 out of Springs Branch depot
after an exam.This was normally the shed shunt driver's job but i could'nt resist the temptation.I think the year was about 1981.

Jesus! 47444! I remember being at school, and 47444 used to work the morning Harwich Glasgow 'European' seemingly every day, for about three years.
Rumour abounded in the playground that BR had about eight 47's with the same number :-)
