Taken between 1967/69, Canteen Staff outing. Josephine Jackson took the photo, Mary Seddon, Edna Dalton, Joyce, Audrey, Pauline, Ellen & Helen, Edna Anderton, Kathleen, Kathleen Postlethewaite, etc. Any more names to stir my memory? Miss young was over the Canteen, Vera 2nd. in command.I served pies in bags, sweets & cigarettes in one corner of the counter.

My dad was a chargehand at Turners during the 60's and 70's. Sadly the asbestos caught up with him in 1994
Hi do you know off a story in the local news re cancer concerns on Lancaster rd hindley.it also showed a fall out map from turneres

my mum n dad worked here dad 4 many years john n kathleen sargent sadly asbestos got dad last yr
