this goes back a long time.i worked a parkside from 1962 to 1969,i met len them,still great mates.we had some great times with great guys.fred foster mentions little sid hichinson,len had a few runs ins with sid over the years,all in good fun? peter dooley was manager.frank reed under manager,and some great guys i had the to work with.B TALBOT,S TALBOT,A BLACKLEDGE,E BALL,R FAIRHURST,W LOWE,B HARRISON,J WOODCOCK,B BURGESS,CARL WATERS,B FITZPATRICK,just to mention a few,faces i worked on B1 C1 with all that water,fred mentions this in his book,very good,i was there when the men would not go on the face water up to your knees,in came MR DOOLEY walked on the face said if i can you all can the man looked on speechless,also F6 BRIAN TALBOTS FACE,A1,A2.AND L3 with CARL WATERS what a guy.i would like to wish all the guys i worked with down PARKSIDE good health and happyness for 2010.

Little Sid Hitchison started his mining career at Johnpit/Standish Hall Drift, about '54/'55. I remember him well, nice lad, his twin bro' George too.
I was in the "Electric Shop" at the time too...started in '53..;o)
