Quite a blurred picture Irene!!
I left in 1956 and I THINK I can see 3 teachers who were there then.On the left hand side is Miss Willis and Mr Lord
(who incidently took my wedding photographs in 1961 for Elizabeth Wildings)and Miss Unsworth the Art teacher is 3rd from the right. There could be others but I don't think it is a very good picture is it ?

actually, the original is much clearer. don't know why it's come out so blurred!perhaps I'll try again!

Victor Johnson had left by the time this photo was taken. He is still alive and well and lives at the end of my street

I was at HAGS from '62 to '68 and can make out a few more names to faces.Back row:third from left is Derek Hart (Maths)then Roy Wilshaw (Biol)and next but one to him is Jack Lord (Games)- not on front row next to Miss Whillas. Roger (Ben) Leigh is second from right (Scouts & Chemistry). Front row l to r:Miss Whillas,?,Miss Stabeler(Maths),Mr Tomlinson (Maths),Mr Rogers (Latin),"Tommy" Crossley(Head), "Ma V" Mrs Vernon (French),Mr Morris,Miss Unsworth(Art),"Joey" Cornah(Geog) and "Gubby" Allen (Geog).Anyone fill in the missing names?

In reply to Frank Lee's comment on this photograph which is next to this please see my comment on page 3 under HAGS staff 1966.Miss Anderton lived in the Manchester area when I met her and sadly has recently died. She was an extremely inspirational teacher who could be strict but also had a great sense of fun.I will remember her with great affection.
