Hi Roy, 1958 the year before I started; taken in the corner of the boys yard. The door behind leading to "Spike" Maloney's chemistry lab. remember it well. I recognize quite a lot of the pupils but probably because you've put names to the faces. I think Les Chamberlain became Head Boy didn't he?

Hi Lyn, I'm ashamed to say this but I can't remember if Les was Head Boy or not but I'll ask him next time I see him (a group of us meet up regularly i.e every couple of months, for a night out with our wives).Hope He doesn't get too upset with me.

I was right about the Head Boy business. Tony Wildman who was a year older tha Les and I Returned for a third year in the Sixth Form to repeat his A levels and got the job of Head Boy with Les as deputy,

Hi Roy, thanks for clarifying Les's position in the hierarchy. I think I must have got him mixed up with Roy Hart who was Head Boy in the same year my second cousin Mavis Griffiths was Head Girl. Incidentally wasn't Mavis's sister Sylvia in your form.
