Mrs Webster was Miss Wilcock before she married. She actually got married whilst i was at St Mark's School which was 1959-1963. She also taught Drama, she scripted some very good plays in which pupils took part.

I've never seen this photograph before, so 'thank you' for posting it! Eileen was my mum and I think she had me while she was still teaching at St. Mark's. She was very, very fond of that school and the girls whom she taught and it's lovely to read such kind comments about her.

Mrs Webster taught me English (1962- 1965). Although I didn't like my time at this school, Mrs Webster was exceptional! She had a love of English and drama and I enjoyed ever lesson she ever gave. She inspired me to write, something I do to this day. I was so lucky to have this great teacher.
Thank you Mrs Webster. You were the best!
p.s. love the trendy coat!

Mrs Webster taught me English. I loved her. She was so kind and always smiling. I was at St Marks between 1965-68 and I knew Audrey Banks, Jean Coleman, Ann Grice, Kathleen Winstanley, Susan Halliwell, Megan Hopkins. Does anyone remember me?

Mrs Webster was my favourite teacher. She taught us English and Drama. She encouraged my love of books and also the English language

Comment by: Valerie Spotswood nee Johnson on 10th August 2021 at 22:11

Mrs Webster was an inspirational teacher. I loved her lesson. It was because of her that I went on to study English at university and became a teacher of English. I was at St. Mark’s 1963 - 67.
