St Mary's school, Ince, early 1970's
When I went to this scool in the late 30s -early 40s, there was an engraved stone about the centre of the front of the school, I cannot remember the exact wording .It was to the effect that the school had been finananced by " Pearson & knowles" the colliery owners, to build the school. Is this engraved stone still there?.
