The Curate in the photo - Mr Beard. Was he later (1960s and 1970s) Vicar of St Andrew's at Springfield?
Sorry Mick, I don't know where he went from Hindley
the Rev olaf Beard went to St Marys Aspull after being at Hindley All Saints

The adults at the rear were:Miss Catherine E Walls, Infant Department Head Teacher; Joseph Richardson, Junior Department Head Teacher; Rev. Arthur Hope Johnson,MA (Oxon)Vicar of All Saints Hindley and Chairman of School Governors; Reverend Eric Olaf Beard, Curate of All Saints. I was a pupil at All Saints, and ended my teaching career as the school's Head Teacher in 1984.
