Hi all,
This photograph brings back memories. I still have a photo somehwere of the football team that went all year without defeat, and I think only one goal scored aainst. Peter Birkett and Alan Addison were stars amongst some good players. I kept in touch with Mr. (John)Davies until his untimely death a few years ago. He was Head of Marus Bridge Primary until his retirement. For those of you who remember Mr. (Norman)Deakin who also taught us at the time, I still speak to him quite regularly and he is in reasonable health. Good to hear from you Les, are you still working at Wigan Council?
Hi Lynne, I have a copy of this picture but I'd forgotten some of the names but they've come flooding back now. Ilive in Scotland now but would like to get in touch
Hello Ray,finished in 2003 due to heart attack and another in 2005.Are you still the head honcho in your dept., because you weren't a bad brickie, you could always go back on the tools......
Hi Les,
Sorry to hear that you have had problems with your health, and hope that you have overcome the difficulties. I took early retirement from Wigan Council in 2004 as part of a big shakeup, when my Department was broken up (nothing changes). I've never looked back and am enjoying the extra time with my family and taking my grandson, Jack, down to Wigan Rugby. In between I manage a few hours in the gymnasium.
Best wishes for the future

The girl 6th from left, second row, sat next to Aileen Oddie is Susan Hoy. The reason I know is that I was the fastest boy in the class and she was the only one who could beat me.
