Thanks a million for the memories brought back by these photos,Ron.Lifes had its ups and downs and Linacre was a very remarkable up.

That boat has had a class of it's own since those times. Known as a "Mirror Dighy", originally ordered from the Daily Mirror in kit form. I believe it's reccommended as the ideal starter sailing dinghy for kids. It's been around for a long time.
I was actually involved in the construction of a small sail boat in my last year,1954/5,I did some of metal parts in the engineering workshop.When it was ready for the "float" test we took it into Mesnes Park and sail it on the lake,and being one of the smallest on the project I was the one man crew for testing.I wonder what happened to it?
