I think I'm right in saying that he held the Junior British AAA record for the Hop Step and Jump at this time?

He won the junior AAA long jump with a leap greater than won the senior competition. I will look up the year in my one surviving TLS Magazine.

Couldn't find the exact year but he won the big sports prize in 1959, so it was probably during that year.
