jaon you were responsible for me meeting my husband 47 years ago you are right about jennifer ward on the photo but elaine jaundrell isnt on it for some reason we were related so would recognise her i am not on the photo i was in 2b

been looking at this photo again and joan could be right Elaine jaundrell could be the one on the front row sat down next to Elaine Mc Namara they were good friends and i now remember she had her hair cut short for the first time since she was a toddler.Sorry for the confusion

There were no official class photographs in the first year at Abraham Guest (AG). I was in class 1A in the first year. The first academic year actually only comprised 2 terms at AG. The first term was still at Orrell Council (for most of us) because AG was not ready (as it was in the final stages of building.) So we started at AG in January under a new Headmaster Mr. Stockwell. There was probably too much to do organising a new school under a very different ethos from that of Orrell Council.

I was at Abraham Guest until November 1963. I have got a class photo of Form 1B for the year 1961-62. On that photo is Graham Pimblett, Granville .......? Brian Kidd, Ann Gore and Valerie Sudworth; all with the late Mr Davis our Form Teacher. I'm now semi-retired and living in MANCHESTER. I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM ANYONE THAT REMEMBERS ME!! Brian

Hi Brian. I do remember your name. Not sure if I was in the same class. I was in 1B, 2B, I remember Brian Kidd, Ann and of course Valerie, but old age memory not so good these days. Lol.

Just spotted comments by Rev Jack Middleton from March 2014 who was at Abraham Guest School. I was at AG from 1961 to Nov 1963 when my parents moved down south. Were you in Mr Davies' class? And what years were you there? I'm now living in Manchester and would love to catch-up.

I remember Jenny Ward who I dated in 1963 TO 64. Quite a lively girl as I recall!!
