I think this was taken in my 4th year which would be about 1984. The teachers were Mr Shaw to the right and on the left with the grey jumper is Mr Caslake I think, could be wrong though. I hope I got it right because he was a tough nut, good at ear stretching.

Hi John, I still have my form teacher photograph when you were all sweet, young and innocent in 1M!!!! The teacher with the grey top on is Mr.Kindred, I don't know what happened to him but Mr. Caslake is headteacher at Abraham Guest at the moment. Best wishes.

When you look back, I can't help but wonder - why was I not bullied 24/7 ?

By the way, Benny - All the best. Hope you're doing well

I'm fine Gareth thanks for asking, turn 39 this week (feeling old). Maybe we should arrange a class reunion, it would be strange seeing everyone again.

Comment by: Gareth Cheetham on 21st June 2008 at 10:38

Great idea - we all start turning 40 from September onwards ( didn't think I'd ever KNOW anybody who was 40, let alone BE 40 )Drop me a line on gareth.cheetham@yahoo.com ?

Comment by: Gareth Cheetham on 5th July 2008 at 17:57

Dear Everybody - Ian Bentley and I have just met up and decided to go for the reunion idea. Anyone who is interested can let me know on gareth.cheetham@yahoo.com. Can you let anyone you are in contact with know about the idea ? It would be great to see everybody again

If anyone else forgets my name I`ll throw you from the onward block roof !!!!! Stephen (Sir or or Master to you) Kindred

Comment by: JW on 19th March 2009 at 20:49

Master Kindred
Do you still sport that cookie duster under the nose.

Comment by: Mark Whitfield on 22nd July 2009 at 15:14

Always remember getting a severe ticking off for lending Mr. Kindred my pen in the third year when he was the class tutor. The only thing was I threw it from the back of the class. Like kids do, I got excited that I could help him out marking the register... big mistake... he then mistook me for being the hard man of the class... Those who knew me back then probably found that funny... In answer to Gareth wondering why he wasn't bullied 24/7... it's because I was... there were only so many school hard nuts to go round... www.markwhitfield.net

Wow, this is a blast from the past eh! I've recently been looking at the very same photo whilst setting myself up on facebook. It is 1983. Oh how time flys when you're having fun. Hope everyone's life has started now the 40's have kicked in :-) Best wishes to everybody.

I didn't attend the school, but i certainly remember the teacher Mr Kindred. He was my maths teacher, at Fred Longworth high school, from 1994-1995. He used to tease me by saying i looked like Kate Moss although we both know back then i looked more like Sterling Moss.
It was he, who later inspired me to become a teacher

i was scared to death of mr kindred and had a fear of maths
