This is my wife as the last May Queen before the war started. The ceremony was never revived.
Sorry but your wife was not the last May Queen as the ceremony was revived. My wife, Valerie nee Mottler was also May Queen circa 1953.
Valerie-I remember you as a very bright girl and lost touch many years ago - like about 54 years or thereabouts.I have lived in Scotland for the past 47 or so years and rarely visit the old town.
