I am 1st left on the front row next to Brian Hagan and at the other end,first right is Anne Baldwin next to Rita Williams. It is Edna Capper next to Jack and on his other side is Margaret Toman. I think that Gerry Dunne is next to Vince Ryding and 2nd right on the same row is ? Dawber. Ist right on the back row is possibly Lucy Crompton, next to Mrs Byrne or Burns.
I was 9 in 1949 and went to st williams. I recognise some of the faces, but not the names.
Reminds me of the old school days when everyone was told to fold their arms.
My Mum is the third person in from the right on the middle row, Maureen Pearson. The person directly behind my Mum is Anne Cooke. Second person on the left on the top row is Wilfed Brady the person next to Wilfred my Mum thinks is Maureen Cusick. My Mum also thinks the first person on the left of the middle row is Roy Rodgers.

My Dad went to St Williams
His name was Albert Curran. But I can't see him on this photo. He was born in 1940

I think that Kathleen Byrne would have been in the junior school when this photograph was taken as it is definitely Margaret Toman on one side of Jack and Edna Capper on the other. I was born in 1942 and presumably we are all of a similar age, making us younger than Kathleen Byrne.
Sorry, I have no photo's of me as a child and I was told it was me.

hello lorrain.i lived next door to an albert curran at york st hr ince in the 50s wonder if same person? my oldest sister madeline beckett was born april 1941 and went to st williams cant see her on photo.
I think Madaline would have been in the Big Girls school by this time Josie these kids only look about 7 or 8 Years old
My Dad did live in York Street higher ince, so he would be the same one. His Dad was also called Albert.
