Just guessing at St. Nathaniel's as there appears to be a photo of a cricket team on the wall and I know St. Nat's had a flourishing cricket team at one time, but as I say I am just guessing. I do hope someone can add some information to these brilliant photos.

Zion Methodist Church, Liverpool Road, Platt Bridge. I think that this photo was taken in one of the wooden buildings behind the church. It is from the mid-1950s. From left to right; unknown; Bradshaw; Mrs Dale; Rev Arthur Revell; Harry Eastham; Mrs Foster; Sam Foster (seated); unknown; Eric Thompson; unknown.
With reference to the photograph in the background, pre WW2, the church had a well-known cricket team “Platt Bridge Prims” which played on a ground behind Walthew Lane. In the 1930s the club transferred to the other Methodist church in Walthew Lane and became the “Wesleyans.
