A school photo of a St. Michael's class from, I would estimate, the late 1950's. As this is not my school photo the only person I recognise is the redoubtable Mr. Simcock who was headmaster when I went there some years later. According to my booklet celebrating 100 years of the school in 1967 he joined the staff in 1951 and became Head in 1962.
I think I'm 4th from the right, back row. It would have been about 1960 I think.

When I look at photos from this era I realise how much this country has gone down hill.

What are you on about? Apart from the change in school rules - all the kids would be in uniform nowadays - they're all doing exactly as they do for school photographs today - saying 'cheese' for the photographer.
