Wigan Album

Went into this as a brand new building for my 3rd year of WGHS.
Must have cost a mint but didn't last long did it?

I can see my old form classrom window there.
Great memories of a great school and some very happy days.
Met some really nice people who made Whitley so enjoyable.
People I fondly remember to name a few were Lorraine Waddington, Christine Bolton, Susan Barton, Diane Cottam, Kathy Lawton, Helen Hardman and many many more.
Ive never seen them since I left almost 50 years ago. I often wonder what happened to them in their adult life.
Susan was a lovely, really friendly girl. Her parents had a pub, New Inn at Goose Green. She left Whitley 12 months prior to us to attend another school somewhere near Warrington as I think her parents moved from the Wigan area. I sincerely hope she settled there in the new school and went on to have a great adult life and career. I suppose I'll never know, but I hope she did.
