John McCurdy Hall as was, with Thomas Linacre School in the distance. JMH was opened by the Queen on Oct 21st 1954, as a 13 year old TLS pupil i was there, about 10 yards away from her as they drove through the gates in New Market St, the one and only time i have seen her in real life.

Any body remember Fanny Orgills shop down street to left ,we used to get our Fag and a match at dinner time from Linacre
