Very interesting. Where was the photo taken?

Comment by: Jimmy on 18th June 2016 at 14:54

It is just a double exposure, the boy isn't in the school.

Comment by: Albert. on 18th June 2016 at 16:24

You photographic buffs. Could the shadowy figure have been superimposed onto the photograph?

Comment by: blob on 18th June 2016 at 17:05

Double exposure ?
I think the photos heading gives a clue Henry.

Comment by: Maureen on 18th June 2016 at 18:14

Whoever he was,he had no shoes on the poor little mite..I would love to know more.

How strange!

Comment by: Ellen M on 18th June 2016 at 20:19

Where is St George's Primary School?

Comment by: Ellen on 18th June 2016 at 20:36

How very strange! Have all verifiable suggestions been explored?

Comment by: Paula on 18th June 2016 at 20:55

Looks like a day centre with all the high backed chairs (usually for the elderly)

Comment by: Jimmy on 18th June 2016 at 21:02

St Georges school is now a nursing home, it is in Scholes.

Comment by: Henry7 on 18th June 2016 at 22:39

Blob, Thanks for that. Looks more like a Nursing Home than a school.

Comment by: GW. on 18th June 2016 at 23:21

Is it a stain on the floor combined with some light reflection or is it a Scholes school spectre? Interesting photo Sonia.

Comment by: sonia davies on 19th June 2016 at 08:37

i work the night shift in the nursing home at st georges.. this was took. when all residents where in bed and there was only me and another carer in the room. its no photo scam...we was both sat in chairs at the other side of lounge area.

Comment by: sonia davies on 19th June 2016 at 08:42

GW what r who is the scholes school spectre????

Comment by: Vb on 19th June 2016 at 09:59

Can you tell us a bit more Sonia? How long was the 'apparition' there? Weren't you frightened? Most folk would have run for leather never mind take a photo!

Comment by: Johnny on 19th June 2016 at 10:38

Very spooky!
Certainly a job for Derek Accorah! Or that other one....

Comment by: Cyril on 19th June 2016 at 11:35

The caretaker and cleaners told of seeing apparitions around the school, I've also been told that an apparition of an old man is often seen at Wigan Little Theatre.

Comment by: GW. on 19th June 2016 at 11:44

Just a play on words for a local ghost Sonia. Thought it might be an optical illusion but if you were there......??

Comment by: Carl on 19th June 2016 at 14:09

Looks like a double exposure there. Taken in context with the surrounding furniture the child is less that 3ft tall.
I would also be interesting to note which way the apparition was facing the class room

Comment by: sonia davies on 19th June 2016 at 14:17

we didn't see it... it was only when we looked at the picture on the phone afterwards.. was weird really..

Comment by: sonia davies on 19th June 2016 at 14:22

ive put the pic on my desktop on computer n when u zoom in he his looking at us and looks like he either got a basin haircut r wearing a flat cap..

Comment by: Albert. on 19th June 2016 at 15:32

Many people can give you their experiences of seeing apparitions. It isn't all "Pie in the Sky"

Comment by: Vb on 19th June 2016 at 15:55

Must admit the 'figure' does not look in proportion to it's surroundings. If there is a parallel universe would that be accountable or even matter?

Comment by: blob on 19th June 2016 at 17:20

Teachers rest room Henry.

Comment by: GW. on 20th June 2016 at 07:57

Don't know about your quantum theory Vb but i'm sure that chair was tucked under the table the first time i looked at this photo!!!!

Comment by: Johnny on 20th June 2016 at 08:49

Those tiles in the suspended ceiling look like "Asbestolux" to me...Very disconcerting in an old folks home!!

Comment by: Maureen on 20th June 2016 at 13:05

Sonia..I don't disbelieve this photo for one moment..but can you tell me why you took a shot of tables and chairs which would be an uninteresting photo..I'm just asking..As I say I do not disbelieve it.

Comment by: Jimmy on 20th June 2016 at 13:53

From what Sonia has stated above, I now think that this photo has been doctored, if Sonia didn't see the boy before she took the photo, then like Maureen said why take a photo of empty chairs?

Comment by: AG on 20th June 2016 at 13:59

Been in St Georges. This is the position of the stage in the infant school. If a stage was there when this ?child was standing, he would be under the stage. He is not facing the classrooms but, the three large windows looking towards Tesco's.

Comment by: vb on 20th June 2016 at 14:02

I also agree - who would take a photo of chairs and tables!!
