Is this the old Windermere station? A lot has changed since then. The building behind is now a Booths supermarket.

Yes, it is Windermere Station. The facade of the building still remains from just in front of the coach - so the canopy which protrudes to the right is still there - the A591 runs along to the right from Kendal. Behind the facade, as you say, Dave, is Booths supermarket. The rest of the station buildings from the coach back towards the left have gone - and trains now stop back from there on new platforms with new, nondescript buildings. Buses still come in off the A591 - and the road where the photographer is stood gives access to a large Lakeland store.
Booths and Lakeland - an irresistible combination for some Lake District visitors....
