This is me in a costume that my mum, Kathleen, made from red crepe paper and silver painted cardboard. I had been reading a book about the Iliad which inspired the costume. The sword is a genuine relic kindly lent to me by Harry Sharrock who used to have the grocers shop on the corner of Sole Street and Whelley. We lived actross the road at no 84. I left St Stephens in 1962 and went to Wigan Grammar School.

Hello Dave, Good to see you looking well and dressed to kill. The sword looks good too, my dad had all sorts of bits and pieces! Yep, I am his son Vic
