Just found this photograph of reception and first year children at what we knew as Belle Green Mission School.
I was 4 years old and still remember Miss Major and Mr Barns. Front row second from left Alan Taylor, front row 4th from left Graham Kelly, 3rd row back 3 rd in myself, 3rd row back 2nd from right Steven Reed, back row 1st left Clifford McKnight and back row far right Graham Winstanley. Assistance with rest required please.

I don't know about bowling but he played the clarinet or something similar as did his brother David. We all later went to Rose Bridge later.

I didn't go to Belle Green but I believe that the 5th girl on the third row from front is Marion Lowe and on the second row, second from left is Evelyn Mulvey (I think)

Thats me on 2nd row, 3rd from the right, I'm in between Carol Cunliffe and Freda Park. I remember Mrs Major like it was yesterday, I was scared to death of her....
