Would the Silley on the back row be Roy Silley, later a lecturer at Wigan Tech?

Yes, that is Roy Silley. His widow still lives in Billinge Road. She was Joyce Caswell before marriage. Roy Lythgoe was surveyor for the NCB at Parkside Colliery for many years

Colin Peet played for Wigan Cricket Club for many years. A very goog left handed batsman.
Roy Silley was a gifted rugby player as well as cricketer.Played professional rugby league for a short while till injured.Worked for JJ Bradburn camping as accountant for a short time.
Colin Peet played 1st X1 cricket from year 3.Chosen to play for Lancs.schoolboys on tour of S.England in 1950.Wonder if still alive?
