Tony, I may know you then. I started work at John England in 1969 as an apprentice fabricator. Billy Simpkin was there and Bernard Mitcheson.

Comment by: tony on 28th August 2013 at 11:45

stephen i started in 1967,did you start with john trigg
if so what is your surname.

Comment by: Stephen on 28th August 2013 at 21:40

Tony, It was actually 1970 not 69 when I started. John Trigg was a couple of years older than me. I have a feeling I was your apprentice for a while. Did you live in Abrams?

Comment by: tony on 29th August 2013 at 10:39

stephen i did live in abram and still do, did you
have a nickname (hindrance) or was that somebody else.

Comment by: Stephen on 29th August 2013 at 21:39

Tony, no I wasn't hindrance, that was a younger lad Tony Sharkey. If your surname begins with C then I was your apprentice when you cut your arm r wrist.

Comment by: tony on 30th August 2013 at 11:16

Hi Tony, yes you guessed right. I was only at JE for about 18 months then went to Parsonage Colliery. Al Roberts also went there but he was on the surface. I remember selling a guitar of yours to Frankie for you. Hope you are doing ok.
