Love the maps of OZ of more than 100 years ago on the wall. Wonder what they were being taught then about Australia? How to put it all into perspective in their young minds without much knowledge of a still very young country in 1909, on the opposite side of the world, without anything closely resembling technology, nor photos or film footage at their fingertips. How boring must that have been for these girls!
The girl on the second row and fourth from the left looks like a double of my 11yr old gran daughter. This girl could be my grandmother Mary Rudd (nee MacDonald )who was born in 1898 lived at 47 Schofield Lane and attended St Catherine's School. I am told she later became a Sunday School teacher there. Coincidentally my gran daughter also attended St Catherine's.
