This is a pic of my friends Ella, Ann, Rita and Janet at breaktime in the sisters' garden. Note the little bottles of milk which used to get warm in the summer's sun. Lovely! Taken in 1965.

I remember the milk bottles very well as I tripped up one day on some stone steps, smashed the bottle and fell on the glass. I had to have 3 stiches in my right hand in Wigan hospital. Still got a huge scar even today 65 years later! I also remember playing in the school yard that was next to the Catholic Church, there was a very spooky entrance from the yard down into the church crypt, it used to scare the life out of us if we dared to go down those steps! Happy days!
