hi Ron,this brings back memories,I had 3 of them and they could be anywhere now.The background colour was your house colour and mine was red for Dalton house. Thanks for the memory.

Hi Dave well you told me something I didn't know.(That's a rarity in itself L.O.L.) I thought they were just the school colours Yellow and Black

You're welcome,Ron,the other two colours were probably blue and yellow. There was Dalton,Faraday and maybe Newton and Stephenson in House names.I wasn't an exceptional athlete but I had a place in the school relay team.We were unbeatable because we had a perfect and well rehearsed baton change over procedure that knocked many seconds off the time.

I was in Rutherford but I cannot remember the house colour. I have one of these medals and the background colour is green.

Ron,was Stephenson not yellow?

Comment by: Jim Heaton on 27th February 2013 at 01:20

There were 8 houses. I remember all but one of them. Thus: Newton (light blue),
Faraday (dark blue), Stephenson (light green), Dalton (dark green), Wren (yellow),
Brunel (brown), Harvey (maroon), Red (???).

Comment by: Jim Heaton on 27th February 2013 at 10:41

Re above, missing house name was Rutherford (red).

They were grand house names after people of substance. I was in Brunel but we never seemed to win anything while I was there 1958-63. Was never really taken by the colour brown.
