Philip Gormley posted the original of this picture of his football team, and I have added colour for him.

The team members are:
Back row (l to r): Peter Draper, Derek Dodd, Stephen Walters, Malcolm Green, Edward Cunliffe, Mr. David Peet (Sports master), Leslie Rabbit
Front row (l to r): Harold Abbott, Anthony Jones, Philip Gormley, Kevin Mousdell, David Hitchen

Many thanks, George, for colouring this photo; you've done a magnificent job! It's quite likely that other team-members and Sportsmaster Mr. Peet will have seen this photo in b/w, but for them to see it here and now will surely find their pleasure enhanced in having done so. It's great to see those tangerine & black socks again that I sometimes borrowed from my brother. The Manchester United socks worn here by Peter Draper were of a type that was difficult to find. Peter (being pretty smart) decided to have a pair hand-knitted for himself and in doing so, became the first lad in the entire school to own a pair. Continued thanks, George.

I left Billinge & Upholland Sec.Modern in 1960. I remember Mr Peet, Mr Clarke, Miss Cornelius, Mr Wiggles worth etc - I wonder if any of them are still alive ?
