The photo belongs to my mum, Irene Houghton, it was quite badly damaged. It had been torn (and 'repaired' with sellotape) and folded. My husband restored it.
Mum is in row 3, 2nd from the right. She told me most of the names, I'll add them next time I visit.

Fantastic photo ! I'm wondering if that is my dad on the back row on the left. It certainly looks like him.

Miss Phythian was quite pretty as young woman, really.

Look forward to seeing the names. I was just 2 years old then.

Does anyone know how old the children in this photo would be at the time it was taken please ?

I think it was my Mum's final year at St. Johns, so they would have been 10 / 11 years old. My Mum's friend was in the same year, different class. She showed my Mum her photo, which solved the mystery of 'missing pupils' I'll ask my Mum to borrow it and I'll put it on the site.
