Who is the priest, I wonder. My father would have known the priests at St Mary's in 1960, but he died just before Christmas.

I think the Parish Priest at that time would have been Fr Gore, but this is not vertainly not he. Pewrhaps his curate.

Just checked St Mary's web-site. I was right! Fr John Gore (whom I dimly remember) was Rector of St Mary's between 1948 and 1971. Unfortunately, curates are not listed.

The priest in the photograph is Father O'Donaghue.He was the curate, as stated Father Gore was the parish priest, and Father Furlong was also a curate at sometime whilst Father O'Donaghue was at St Mary's.
